Rupal Ramesh Shah
Rupal Ramesh Shah is a public health professional with degrees in Microbiology and Public Health. The focus of her work has been in the field of infectious diseases, specifically in tuberculosis. She has worked in various hospitals and universities in Tanzania, South Africa, and Haiti.

Rupal’s perspectives have been largely shaped by her upbringing in Tanzania, in an ethnically Indian family. In her teenage years, her family migrated to the United States of America in pursuit of higher education. As a Tanzanian Indian American, Rupal often finds herself at the intersection of identities. This unique lens shapes the way she sees the world. A global citizen and a polyglot, Rupal’s cross-cultural experiences give her the ability to form relationships and build communities with people from diverse backgrounds. She is passionate about approaching global issues from different vantage points.
